Agisoft Cloud pricing, Agisoft Cloud processing cost and what a survey team pays a year

Agisoft Cloud pricing has two parts: a storage subscription that starts at $10 a month for 100 GB, and cloud processing billed per minute of compute time from $4.25 an hour, according to Agisoft's Cloud page in October 2026. Processing in the cloud also needs Metashape Professional installed and activated, which is a $3,499 one-time license per computer. The free plan gives 50 GB and 20 processing hours a month, but Agisoft limits it to trial and educational use. If your team wants maps, volumes and contours in the cloud at a fixed price, a Metashape alternative such as DroneMapping Team costs $1,488 a year with 10 seats and no desktop license.

Agisoft Cloud pricing at a glance

Prices come from the Agisoft Cloud section of agisoft.com and Agisoft's online store, checked in October 2026. Agisoft prints them in US dollars.

What you are pricing Price What it gets you
Free plan $0 50 GB of storage and 20 processing hours renewing monthly, for trial and educational use only
Commercial plan, storage From $10 a month for 100 GB, up to $500 a month for 5 TB Platform access: upload, organize, share, measure, annotate, compare surveys, monthly or annual
Commercial plan, processing From $4.25 per processing hour, billed per minute of node time Cloud processing started from Metashape Professional
Metashape Professional $3,499 once, node-locked to one computer The desktop license that cloud processing requires
Metashape Standard $179 once Cannot start cloud processing
DroneMapping Team $1,488 a year Processing, orthomosaic, DSM and DTM, volumes, cut and fill, DXF and SHP contours, 10 seats, 15,000 images a month

One aggregator still lists cloud processing at $5 an hour. That was the higher pack rate, and Agisoft's current page starts at $4.25, so check the hour packs on your account before you budget.

How much does Agisoft Cloud cost?

Agisoft Cloud costs $10 a month for the smallest commercial storage tier of 100 GB, plus processing time from $4.25 an hour if you process in the cloud. A firm that only shares finished Metashape projects pays the storage line. A firm that offloads processing pays storage plus hours, and it still needs a $3,499 Metashape Professional license on the computer that sends the job.

Is Agisoft Cloud free?

Partly. The free plan includes 50 GB of storage and 20 processing hours that renew every month, and anyone can evaluate the platform. Agisoft describes the free plan as limited and meant for trial and educational use, so a survey or construction firm processing client work should budget for the commercial plan. Cloud processing on any plan still requires an activated Metashape Professional license.

Agisoft Cloud processing cost and how the hours add up

Agisoft charges processing per minute of computing node operation, and you can run as many projects in parallel as you want. That is the appeal: a job that ties up an office PC overnight runs on several nodes at once and comes back sooner. The cost is that every step you process, alignment, the depth maps, the dense cloud, the mesh, the DEM and the orthomosaic, burns node time, and so does every reprocess after you add ground control or fix a camera group.

Agisoft does not publish typical hours per project, and node time depends on photo count, resolution and the quality settings you pick. So the honest way to budget is to time two or three of your own typical projects on the free plan's 20 hours, then multiply. The table shows what a monthly total costs at the starting rate.

Processing hours a month Cost at $4.25 an hour Cost a year
10 $42.50 $510
25 $106.25 $1,275
50 $212.50 $2,550
100 $425 $5,100

Add the storage tier on top. A firm keeping a year of site flights online quickly passes 100 GB, because each project stores the photos, the dense cloud and the rasters.

Does Agisoft Cloud require a Metashape Professional license?

Yes, for cloud processing. Agisoft states that the cloud processing feature requires Metashape Professional installed and activated with a valid license key, and educational and trial licenses count. Viewing, sharing and measuring on the platform work with the subscription alone, so a project manager or client who only reviews results does not need a desktop license.

The costs that are not on the Agisoft Cloud price line

  • The desktop license: $3,499 for each computer that starts cloud jobs. A second processor means a second license.
  • Reprocessing: hours are billed again each time you rebuild after adding control or changing settings.
  • Storage growth: raw photos are the bulk of every project, and storage is billed every month you keep them online.
  • Major upgrades: Metashape licenses cover updates within the 2.x line, and Agisoft does not promise that a future major version will be free.
  • A variable bill: hours move with the workload, which makes a monthly budget line harder to predict than a flat plan.

Most firms put software on a yearly budget, so pick a ceiling for processing hours and track it. If your office plans spend in business budgeting software, enter the license, storage and an hour estimate as separate lines, so the variable part is visible when the busy season arrives.

Agisoft Cloud pricing compared with PIX4Dcloud, DroneDeploy and DroneMapping

Tool What you pay Pricing model Desktop license needed
Agisoft Cloud From $10 a month storage plus $4.25 an hour processing Usage based Metashape Professional, $3,499, to process
PIX4Dcloud Starter $1,290 a year with 500 credits, Pro $4,490 with 2,500 credits Credits per year No
DroneDeploy Flight and Analysis $4,188 a year for 1 user, higher plans quoted Per user No
RealityScan $1,250 a seat a year above $1M revenue Per seat, desktop Is the desktop tool
DroneMapping $588, $1,488 or $3,588 a year Per company, seats and a monthly image quota No

Agisoft Cloud is the cheapest way to share a Metashape project online, and for a firm that already owns Professional and processes a few jobs a month it can be the cheapest cloud processing too. It gets expensive when several people need to process, because each of them needs the $3,499 license first. Our Agisoft Metashape pricing article covers the Standard and Professional editions in detail, and the PIX4Dcloud pricing article explains Pix4D credits.

What a 3-person survey team pays for Agisoft Cloud over 3 years

Take a small civil firm with a pilot, a project engineer and a superintendent. Two of them process, the pilot and the engineer. They keep the last 12 months of flights online, about 500 GB, and they use about 25 cloud processing hours a month.

Line Agisoft Cloud with Metashape Professional DroneMapping Team, yearly
Desktop licenses 2 x $3,499 = $6,998 once None
Storage 500 GB tier, priced in your account, from $10 per 100 GB Included
Processing, 3 years 25 hours x $4.25 x 36 months = $3,825 Included in 15,000 images a month
Seats for viewing and measuring Platform users with roles 10 seats
Client view Shared project links View links
Known 3-year total before storage $10,823 $4,464

If only one person ever processes and the hours stay low, Agisoft Cloud is close to DroneMapping on cost and gives you Metashape's full desktop toolset. The gap opens with a second processor and with busy months.

When Agisoft Cloud pricing is worth paying

Agisoft Cloud is a good buy if you already own Metashape Professional, you want to keep its processing settings and scripts, and you need to share projects or offload big jobs a few times a month. It also suits teams that process LiDAR-assisted or very large projects that a fixed photo quota would not cover.

A cloud plan priced per company is the better buy when several people need to produce maps, when your flights are routine site work under 500 photos, and when you want a fixed yearly number. DroneMapping processes in about 20 to 55 minutes for 100 photos, in any browser, and returns the orthomosaic, DSM and DTM, contours, volumes and a GCP and checkpoint report. See the stockpile inventory software page for the month-end report.

Is Agisoft Cloud cheaper than Pix4D?

For one Metashape user with light processing, yes. Storage from $10 a month plus a few hours costs well under PIX4Dcloud Starter at $1,290 a year. The comparison flips once you count the $3,499 Professional license for each processor, against Pix4D's cloud plans that need no desktop license.
