Security and data ownership for drone survey data
Survey data often shows sites that are not public: quarries, construction projects, utility corridors, farms. This page explains how Dronemapping keeps that data under your control, in plain terms.
Your data stays yours
- Your photos, outputs and measurements belong to your company, not to us.
- We use your data only to process, store and show it to the people you choose.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train models or build public maps.
- Export originals and every output at any time, on every plan.
- When you delete a project, its photos and outputs are deleted from active storage, and from backups when the backup cycle ends.
Encryption in transit and at rest
All traffic between your browser, the API and our servers uses TLS. Photos, outputs and backups are encrypted at rest. Access keys and secrets are kept out of application code and rotated.
Access control for teams and clients
- Team seats sign in with email and a one-time code sent to their work address.
- Business adds project roles: admin, editor and viewer.
- Enterprise adds custom roles and per-project permissions.
- View links can carry an expiry date, and you can revoke any link at any time.
- Client view links are read only. They never expose the original photos unless you allow downloads.
Audit log of downloads and shares
On Business and Enterprise, every download, export and new share link is recorded with the person, the project and the time. Admins can review the log when a client or an auditor asks who had access to a site.
